Northern Alabama is experiencing unprecedented growth. Families are relocating, businesses are investing, and communities are expanding faster than ever before. That growth creates tremendous opportunities, but it also brings challenges—including rising costs, increased traffic, pressure on infrastructure, and the growing cost of raising a family.
Local issues shape our daily lives in ways national issues often overlook. District 10 needs a strong, local voice in Montgomery—someone who understands our community, listens to its people, and works with the majority caucus to advocate for our priorities.
My commitment is simple: protect our quality of life, strengthen our local economy, defend our conservative values, and make sure government works efficiently and responsibly for the people it serves.
Investing in Critical Infrastructure
Our roads, bridges, utilities, electrical grid, emergency services, and other essential infrastructure must keep pace with the rapid growth across northern Alabama.
So much of Alabama's economic engine runs through Madison County for a reason. Redstone Arsenal, Cummings Research Park, and our highly skilled workforce make this community a powerhouse for innovation, jobs, and economic growth, generating nearly 12% of Alabama's entire state GDP. When one county carries that much of Alabama's economic future, investing in it isn't a favor—it's a necessity.
Every pothole we don't fix, every bridge we allow to deteriorate, and every megawatt of electricity we fail to bring online creates a hidden cost for the families and businesses driving our growth.
Smart infrastructure investment isn't about growing government. It's about fulfilling government's core responsibility: providing the foundation for safe communities and a strong economy.
I will advocate for fiscally responsible investments that expand roads, reduce traffic congestion, strengthen the electrical grid, improve public safety, repair aging bridges, and ensure utilities and essential services can keep up with growth—without placing unnecessary burdens on taxpayers.
Education and Educational Freedom
Every child is unique, and every family deserves the freedom to choose the educational environment that best meets their child's needs.
I believe in strong public schools and in giving parents the freedom to choose what is best for their children—whether that means a traditional public school, private school, charter school, homeschool, or another educational opportunity.
Every student deserves access to a quality education that prepares them for college, the workforce, military service, or skilled trades.
That's why I support removing unnecessary education earmarks that tie the hands of educators while investing in safe, modern school facilities and giving teachers and students the resources they need to succeed.
I'm proud that the Republican caucus delivered the largest Education Trust Fund in Alabama history—$10.5 billion—proving that responsible budgeting can put record dollars behind our children's future.
The CHOOSE Act also gives Alabama families greater educational freedom. Parents—not government—should have the primary voice in determining the educational path that best serves their children.
Affordability and the Cost of Living
Cost-of-living relief isn't a slogan—it's a kitchen-table necessity. Providing for your family is a responsibility, not a luxury to be taxed.
Alabama families shouldn't have to pay taxes on groceries, diapers, and formula simply for meeting their children's basic needs. Eliminating these taxes, alongside championing the CHOOSE Act, means standing with parents who are working hard to do what's best for their children.
As our communities grow, we must make sure Alabama remains a place where families can afford to live, work, raise children, start a business, and build a future. We cannot simply ask whether government can afford to spend more. We must also ask whether families can afford the consequences.
Government should make it easier—not harder—for families to provide for themselves.
Protecting Families and Parental Rights
Strong families build strong communities. Parents have the fundamental right and responsibility to direct the upbringing, education, healthcare, and development of their children.
As a father of two young daughters, this issue isn't political to me—it's personal.
Every day, I think about the world they're growing up in: one where predators can lurk online, harmful content can be just a click away, and parents are increasingly concerned about the safety and well-being of their children.
I will stand firmly for parental rights and support policies that ensure parents are informed, involved, and empowered in decisions affecting their children.
That includes protecting parents' role in education and medical decisions, keeping parents informed about what happens in their children's lives, and making sure government partners with families rather than replacing them.
Our children deserve to grow up feeling safe and free to simply be kids.
Supporting Small Businesses and Economic Growth
Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy. They create jobs, support families, and invest in the communities they call home.
Government should empower entrepreneurs—not stand in their way.
I will support policies that reduce unnecessary regulations and red tape, encourage responsible economic development, promote workforce development and job creation, and ensure local businesses have the opportunity to compete and succeed.
Northern Alabama's growth is attracting new businesses and investment, and we should welcome that opportunity while making sure our hometown businesses are positioned to benefit from it.
A strong local economy means more opportunities for workers, stronger communities, and a better quality of life for families across District 10.
Keeping Our Communities Safe
Public safety is one of the government's most important responsibilities. As our communities grow, we must ensure our law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and other first responders have the resources, training, and support they need to protect our families.
I will advocate for responsible funding, modern equipment, and policies that help recruit and retain qualified public safety professionals. Criminals should be held accountable, victims should be protected, and our neighborhoods should remain safe places to live, work, worship, and raise a family.
As a father, I also believe protecting our children means addressing threats that didn't exist for previous generations.
I will fight to keep school resource officers in our schools, protect women's sports so young women can compete on a fair and safe playing field, and hold Big Tech accountable for protecting children from online predators and content no child should ever see.
Strong communities are built on respect for the rule of law, partnerships between citizens and first responders, and a justice system that is fair, effective, and focused on protecting the innocent.
